Light load training (20-30% 1RM) with occlusion of the limb being worked. ======= This Occlusion restricts blood leaving the muscle, which creates pooling. This causes a very hypertrophic environment due to cell swelling, which in turn leads to increase in muscle gain, similar to that seen when using heavy loads and low reps. ======== Who’s it for? Those looking for maximise muscle gain. (Bodybuilders 💪🏼) It helps reduce loads on the joints but still getting the same benefits you would expect when using heavy loads. Rehabilitation Those returning from injury or with an ongoing injury as it still allows that Muscle building stimulus without putting the stresses on the ligaments and tendons. ======== Don’t over do it!! Studies show 2-3 times a week showed greater gains than those doing it 4-5 times week. ======== Only use it for training Limbs!! Doesn’t work if you try it for chest 🥴 ======== Not too tight!! Still want to allow blood to enter the muscle. We want to restrict the venous return and allow the arterial flow. Here I’m just using 2 leather wrist straps around the top of my bicep.
