Just finished my first day of paramedic school! Safe to say I won’t have a life for the next year or so, but hey... it’ll be worth it. 🤓🚑
I’ve survived a month in Dubai 🇦🇪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m not sure how easy I thought spending a dreamy 4 months away to throwing myself in to a new life and new job in a very different country would be - I definitely did NOT prepare myself for it 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How many times a girl can give herself a pep talk ‘you got this babe?’ 🙃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ People come to Dubai for money - right? Somebody asked me how much I earnt at home and then asked why I’d come to Dubai if I was earning X amount 🤔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The reality is I was craving a new challenge. I had it unbelievably easy at home. I never wanted for anything. I was very fortunate to have the most amazing clients, a great job, a mum who made my life 10790 times easier, I saved a lot, I was never driven by money - just passion for educating women how not to f**k up their bodies like I did 🙋♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ever since I was younger I have always chased perfection. To do everything to perfection, get the best results, achieve the perfect body - a trait in many girls who have an ED - simply cause we took perfectionism too far 🤦♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I left in October I wasn’t sure I would be able to switch off from work, fitness and health and just be - but I did. I was so happy at the fact I didn’t need to exercise or worry what I was eating for the first time in TEN YEARS my entire thought process changed. I was no longer chasing perfection, simply because I was happy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The time I had away the voices in my head were released for the first time ever. Now - my mind has gone back and fourth 20 million times I can’t even think straight to post anything online or have a proper conversation with my parents. Now that I’m back in to ‘normal life’ I can feel myself getting sucked back into my old ways again but with more awareness. Every pep talk I have with myself I laugh a little more 🙃 The answer to the pep talk? 🤷♀️ Tell yourself ‘you got this babe’ more than 20 times a day and you will start to believe it. We can’t be chasing perfection forever. Just the best, happiest version of ourselves 🥰
Heading into month 3 on accutane 🥳🎉 I cannot believe how much my skin has changed in the past 2 months. Sometimes it’s so odd to feel my face and see my face without spots covering it. But I am over the moon with the results so far!! I’m very aware I have redness and scarring, some days this is more prominent, but I’m just so grateful that my skin is clearing 😊 For this of you that are interested, I’ll be uploading a YouTube vid in the next couple of days about my experience on Accutane so far. Have a happy Sunday 💚✨
doesn’t lie about how hyperextensions really beat up your glutes…. 🔥 . Being able to have access to a 45 degree hyperextension now that I do the whole “gym thing” 😜 my glutes have never been more sore and more activated in this burn-out exercise. I have noticed so much “growth” in my upper glutes incorporating these for the last 3 months. Usually always end leg day with these as a finisher. . Form pointers ➡️flare feet outward, tuck chin, round shoulders, squeeze (duh) and get yourself a band around the knees (I use the @mbslingshot
) and then do them with no weight or a weighted plate. I do 3 sets total…. First 10 reps are with the weight and then drop the weight and rep it out till complete failure...sometimes I even do a few reps of partials on my LAST set to really give that last burn👌🏼 . I feel these mostly in my hamstrings, gluteus maximus, and erectors(low back). The metabolic stress is real! Try it out, it might take a few times to figure out what you feel most in the exercise as we all built differently #doyourresearch #happyglutes #upperglutes
Between juggling full time school, teaching 9 weekly classes, being a mom, and helping my parents through the hardship they’re currently enduring... I feel pretty spent right now. It’s definitely time for a day of play ☀️ Movement for the sake of moving, without structure or an end game, can be fun. Plus I fancy endorphin rushes 🤷♀️ Half of this is a really cute video of a kid that always reminds me to be present in the moment, despite what’s swirling around in my mind or hanging heavy on my to-do list. Because you can’t pour from an empty cup, you can’t give what you don’t have, so make sure you’re getting what you need outside of what you need to do. Otherwise it’ll be impossible to show up as the best version of yourself..................................................... Side bar: If it looks like this video was taken by a four year old, that’s because it was.

What should and could I post on Insta to make it more interesting for you and me? 🤷♀️ . Weil ich mir selbst oft die Frage stelle: Was Soll ich auf Insta posten? Was interessiert die Leute? Was wollt ihr? . Einfach nur so Posten macht mich irgendwie nicht zufrieden 🙄 . 👉Also legt los- schreibt mir was ihr sehen wollt🤗 Trainings? #ABootcamp
Action? Posing? Wettkämpfe? Essen u Ernährung? Sporttherapie Themen u Fachwissen??
d i s c i p l i n e . . . Discipline is just choosing between what you want now and what you want most. It’s working out when you don’t feel like it because let’s be honest we don’t always feel like going to the gym. You won’t be motivated every single day & that’s when DISCIPLINE kicks in! It’s saying no to food you know is bad for you, but it seems so convenient when you don’t feel like meal prepping. Discipline is always keeping your goals in mind and doing everything you can to reach them. Fitness is challenging and it’s extremely hard, but if it was easy then everyone would do it!

Training vs. Practice - & why the difference is important.💯 Practice is the rehearsing or performing of a behaviour, skill or activity repeatedly in order to acquire or maintain proficiency in it. The main purpose of practice is to improve in a certain activity: “practice makes perfect”. So in essence, practice is a method of applying specific skills over & over again rather than actual acquiring this it in the first place. When we practice a certain exercise, it usually takes place in a controlled environment. Instead of purely focusing on hitting a certain number of sets/reps or lifting a specific weight, we want to work on our skill & technique so that we can essentially train more efficiently.🙌 Training on the other hand, is more like acquiring specific skills & abilities. It's designed to improve your fitness, strength or/and to build muscle - to improve your physical performance capacity. For most of us, the majority of our time in the gym is probably spent on training but realize that when it comes to weightlifting, practicing the basic exercises that most of us perform during our workouts, such as squats, deadlifts & pressing exercises, are just as important. You don’t have to beat yourself up every session by training to failure every time or hitting PR’s or certain number of sets/reps. 🏋️ I believe that many people do not take enough time to really “practice”. Here I performed 100 reps of sumo deadlifts total. While I did have a set number of reps, I only did so many reps in one set until I noticed that I wasn’t able to maintain proper form. I stopped, took a short break and started again, focusing on my technique rather than hitting a certain number of reps as I had in the weeks prior (10x10). I could've done more reps with this weight but that wasn’t my goal in this case, I rather wanted to improve my deadlifting. Take time to understand the need for both, “practice” & “training” days. Both compliment each other. Once you’ve understood this, it’s easier to incorporate practice days into your schedule. You’ll see that if you work on your your technique & skills, your training will improve too! Do you incorporate practice days?👇
It be lying if I said I was super confident all of the time. Recently I’ve found it really difficult to be positive and it’s bothered me a lot. My skin is getting better, but I still find myself comparing myself to others 圖片，視頻下載 a bit too often. We treat our skin to help it get better, and we must do the same for our mind too. I was approached by @fifthandninth
as they were launching their Nudes collection. A collection of phones cases that help us to embrace our flaws and imperfects. This case is called ‘Exposed’, something I have felt all too often. Money from each phone case sold goes to a specific charity. Instagram can be a weird and wonderful thing, use it wisely. Do things that make you feel good and be kind always. 💕✨🌙
Happy Saturday! I just read a very interesting article about happiness. Apparently there’s certain amount we are born with... some people more than others. But a lot of it we can create through every day doings and channelling our thoughts in a certain ( positive ) way. 💙So changing our daily routine helps ... take a different route to work , have something different for lunch , go for a walk , or buy your groceries in a different supermarket or deli. ( i guess this would work providing they have some exciting foods - my go to will be Whole Foods 😍) 💙 do something you like every day just for yourself ( go to your favourite gym class, museum , read a book , cook something delicious , take a bubble bath, sit for 20 mins and stare in the sky - whatever floats your boat for no other reason that that! ) . . 💚 exercise - an obvious one on my page. You feel happier after exercise due to production of endorphins . It works . . 💙be bloody kind to yourself . Perfectionism towards yourself can be a bit of a curse .. If you can think of anything else let me know!! I’m a sucker for endorphins ! . . 🙏🏼❤️ 👉🏻 here a cool endurance combo . Front squat + shoulder overhead press, burpee pull-ups (badly done- but at least I tried - part of being kind to myself theory 😉) , hanging leg raises . Done 😘 . . #squats #girlswhosquat #curves #fitness #fitgirl #fitgirlsguide #legworkout #motivation #fitnessmotivation #inspiration #fitnessinspiration #mindset #transformation #strong #bodypositive #fitfam #exercise #success #femalefitness #strongwomen #hiit #girlswholift #wholebodyworkout #believeinyourself #beauty #healthyliving #fitnessjourney #lifestyle #healthylife #fitlife
