Tonight’s film: Uncle Nick (2015). I was in the mood for a Christmas movie and I picked the most unchristmasy of Christmas movies. It’s a pretty straightforward movie about the Christmas of a very dysfunctional family but in this case it isn’t exactly a lovable dysfunctional family. Actually none of the characters are lovable. This movie lacks alot of things but it has a few good parts. But definitely not to add the your Christmas movie list.
As actors, the value of knowing who you are and what you can bring to the table is so high it can’t afford to be ignored. Know your skills, know your talents. Love this personable and engaging headshot of Dionna Livingston
Mom. There are so many words I could use to describe you.
Caring, loving, kind, compassionate, understanding, care giver, helping hand, positive, uplifting, loyal, accountable, reliable, worshiper, faithful, consistent.
I feel like every year I’ve spent on this earth, proud to call you my mom, I always come back to this word… Strong.
Strength can be so many things. Literal physical strength sure… like you battling illness with the biggest smile on your face; living life to the fullest in spite of what could be an excuse to slow down. Though, when I think of your strength it always includes your uncompromising faith in God that revitalizes our family; whether in the darkest or most celebrated moments.
You’ve always been there cheering, comforting, lifting me up, and challenging me in the wins and losses.
Like I said… there are so many words, experiences, and equity built over my 30 years. I know your support is unwavering. It is this support and strength that fuels me to keep going. To keep following my dreams non matter the obstacles that I may face or be facing.
And with that I wish you the Happiest of birthdays in Charleston, SC! Relax… Keep living your best life! Because though your life has been an incredible cumulation of experiences up to this point, I know God is far from done using you. This new year has the potential to be the greatest year you’ve had yet! God wants this blessing for you. I want this blessing for you. Hold onto that strength, and see what God does though you, because its greater that you can imagine today!
