I’ve been on my weight loss journey for little over a year. This is my first time actually losing weight and sticking to it. I had a gastric bypass in 2008 and ended up losing 100 pounds then gaining back 60 over the course of a couple years. I'm now at my lowest weight I can ever remember being in my life, I'm currently down 65 pounds. My goal for this year was 60, so I'm happy I have surpassed by goal. I'm a stay at home mom and workout at home by myself. I don't do any fad diets, I've just exercised and counted calories. I know I'm a little late with my #TransformationTuesday post, I was going to wait another month before I started showing my progression, but I was sitting and reflecting on how far I've come mentally and physically and thought about all the people who inspired me to get where I am today and wanted to be that same inspiration for someone that may be in the same position that I was in 3 月前發佈. . The picture on the left pretty much sums up how my life has been over these past 9 years. I was 288 lbs and 34% of my body mass was fat, which for a man is very high amount and puts me at a high risk for many health issues. I had chronic knee and joint pain, I couldn't go up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath, and I always felt tired even after a full night of sleep. One day I went for my annual check up and my doctor told me I had pre-hypertention (high blood pressure) and pre-diabetic symptoms and if I didn't make a change to my diet and lifestyle that I would have to take medication for the rest of my life. It was at that time I knew I had to make a change. The picture on the right is my current weight of 238 lbs and my current body fat % is 28. Which is still higher than I want but where I need to be to lower my risk. I have NO pain in my knees or joints, NO pre-hypertention and NO pre-diabetic symptoms. I can run, jump, and do pretty much any exercise thrown my way. I made up my mind that I wouldn't be another statistic and with hard work and discipline I've come this far and I still have a long way to go. . I wish I could tell you that all of my health issues were from having a bad diet or a lack of exercise, but that isn't the case. The truth is a lot of it came from stressing about things I had no control over and falling into a state of depression when life seemed to be dealing me the same bad hand over and over. I wish I could make this one post a tell all story but I can't. So today I'm sharing #MyFitnessJourney I'll be posting my progress, #FitnessTips , #Diet , #Recipes , and #ExerciseRoutines . Go bananas for these chocolate covered banana pops! 🍌🍌🍌 #bananas #bananapop #kidfriendly * ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ * INGREDIENTS * 3 ripe bananas, peeled and halved * 1 cup bitter sweet chocolate chips * 3 tablespoons coconut oil * 6 wooden popsicle sticks * INSTRUCTIONS * 1. Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Add coconut oil, and microwave it in 20-30 second increments, stirring in between until fully melted.Alternatively, you can place chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water and stir until melted. * 2. Transfer the melted chocolate to a tall narrow glass. * 3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Insert a popsicle stick in one end of each banana piece. Dip one banana half in the glass of chocolate and allow excess chocolate to drip off. * 4. Place dipped banana back on parchment paper and immediately. Roll the banana in topping of choice, then return to the parchment paper. Repeat with remaining bananas. * 5. Now at 112kg. 18 stone is back in sight. Hitting cardio fairly hard to keep it lean. Loving the ski-erg for the first time in my life. Not sure what's worse ski-erg or assault bike what do you hate more? I apologise for the post swim steamed lense blur haha
