I know I'm a little late with my #TransformationTuesday
post, I was going to wait another month before I started showing my progression, but I was sitting and reflecting on how far I've come mentally and physically and thought about all the people who inspired me to get where I am today and wanted to be that same inspiration for someone that may be in the same position that I was in 3 月前發佈. . The picture on the left pretty much sums up how my life has been over these past 9 years. I was 288 lbs and 34% of my body mass was fat, which for a man is very high amount and puts me at a high risk for many health issues. I had chronic knee and joint pain, I couldn't go up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath, and I always felt tired even after a full night of sleep. One day I went for my annual check up and my doctor told me I had pre-hypertention (high blood pressure) and pre-diabetic symptoms and if I didn't make a change to my diet and lifestyle that I would have to take medication for the rest of my life. It was at that time I knew I had to make a change. The picture on the right is my current weight of 238 lbs and my current body fat % is 28. Which is still higher than I want but where I need to be to lower my risk. I have NO pain in my knees or joints, NO pre-hypertention and NO pre-diabetic symptoms. I can run, jump, and do pretty much any exercise thrown my way. I made up my mind that I wouldn't be another statistic and with hard work and discipline I've come this far and I still have a long way to go. . I wish I could tell you that all of my health issues were from having a bad diet or a lack of exercise, but that isn't the case. The truth is a lot of it came from stressing about things I had no control over and falling into a state of depression when life seemed to be dealing me the same bad hand over and over. I wish I could make this one post a tell all story but I can't. So today I'm sharing #MyFitnessJourney
