When ya on ya last set of 3 pullups... You Just keep swimming, or pulling. ## Ive worked on pullups for a long time. One thing you learn is when to keep keep pulling vs when to let go of it.i dint like to miss reps, so if I feel like I barely get it, I don’t try another. ## When I feel the grind, I drive my elbows down to my hip bones, you can also think of it as pulling thetge bar down to your hips. Just what I do...works for me. 😉 ## I also hang for a bit longer before I hit the last rep that when is gonna be a good grind. Helps me explode out of it. ## Anyway.... #pullups are my jam Today...I worked 10 rds. Varied reps and weight. I alternated sets of 3 with 8kg, and 1 rep with 12kg. Between sets of a 10-1 countdown of front squats, glute bridge and movement. Took about an hour to complete... I did do laundry, clean up between sets. Killing two birds 🦅 🦅 with one stone. What you’ll need: • 30g Plant Max Protein Powder (Chocolate) • 1x Medium Egg • ½ Tsp Baking Powder • 30-40ml Unsweetened Almond Milk • Ice-cream • Low Calorie Chocolate Sauce (Optional) • Fry-light spray oil . ▫️Place your Plant Max Powder in a medium mixing bowl and mix in your baking powder. ▫️In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and add around 20ml Almond Milk ▫️Mix the wet and dry ingredients until it forms a smooth paste like texture, gradually adding the remaining Almond Milk. ▫️Once mixed, grease 2 small pots and pour half of the mixture in each. ▫️Place both pots in the microwave and cook for 30 seconds ▫️The outer edges should begin to firm, with a remaining soft centre, microwave up to another 30 seconds in 10 second intervals, this should ensure a hot soft melted centre ▫️Remove from the microwave and stack on top of each other ▫️Finish with a scoop of low calorie ice cream and low calorie chocolate sauce. ▫️Enjoy! . Finally back on it after a week of procrastination/illness/busyfromwork. Absolute noob at front squats so did 5 sets of 3 on 100, but the last one I did 5 reps as I was getting into the groove a bit. I think it's mostly weird angle but I need to brace better at the top I think to prevent my ass sticking out so much. Lat pain in bench is gone, but so has my strength. Hello, hi, yes 🙋🏼‍♀️ - Just a little reminder, the gym is meant to be a happy place! It was once a place I was very anxious, nervous and self conscious in. I overcame this by learning that the gym isn’t scary, it’s positive, some self growth and guess what? Now I’m the weird one often hanging around from some kind of equipment. Smile, be friendly and polite, tidy up after yourself and DO NOT make negative comments. - Three times last week I was interrupted, all times the individuals were all quite rude. Thankfully my skins a little thicker these days and I just had a couple of tantrums and vented my anger. Just remember, individuals like those are only reflections of themselves. Majority of people within the gym are lovely, friendly and actually pretty damn supportive. Get in, do your thing, have respect for those around you and enjoy your session! Off season in full effect. Been back in the weight room more consistently working on power and strength. Some minor nicks in the armor has cut back my running so I’ve had to add some different “cardio” machines in to keep my fitness at a good level. The weights are feeling pretty good. Have to work on some techniques with the Power Clean and the weight will be flying up. I try to keep my strength sessions simple. Squat, hinge push, pull some carries. Keeping the plan simple and just getting in and out of the gym is the goal. The strength will increase nicely and injuries will be kept at bay.
