Rotate the camera 180 degrees from the little bedroom view and it sees a cacophony of doors - the old thin panel kind that were already old when they were salvaged and repurposed in 1874. No two are exactly alike. There are bathrooms now, obviating the need for the territory markings of yore. The window visible through the door on the far right was originally in an exterior wall and through it one could have looked out at the apple tree that is now at the end of its run. #appletree#windows#doors#oldhouse#19thcentury#smallhouse#theoldwayofseeing#shelter#silverhalides#5x7#deardorff

Nelsonville Union Free School
This former school was built in 1881. It would serve as a school until 1933. Four years later, in 1937, it became a Masonic Temple and has remained one ever since.
