Japan is without exception one of the best when it comes to stationery. I'm always impressed by the amount of details invested in everyday pieces.
You can sense a strong passion for innovation and quality in these items. Simplicity done wonderfully is not as easy as it sounds. I appreciate all the work that goes behind this process. Excited to put these notebooks to good use! ✍️
Thursday night activity, as I can't sit still... Hmm, I miss drawing very much.
Fighting fish and cotton stem reminds me of my childhood. Siamese fighting fish or betta fish is called 'ikan laga' in Bahasa Malaysia. As my father hailed from Kelantan, I always have this fish as a pet when I was young. Rather cheap to get it around. And in front of my paternal grandmother's house, we used to have this big kapok tree where some women would come and collect the cotton to be made into pillows or thin mattresses.
If I'd ever have a tattoo, this would be the first one and I would have it on my left forearm. Oh well, one can dream.
