Foi divertidíssima e suuuper agradável a nossa espera. O dia estava perfeito, azul e frio 🙌🏼❄️ .
Foi apenas uma hora no parque (o que mais demorou foi para chegarmos até nele, o trânsito de “bus” que levavam os atletas era intenso!). Quando chegou a hora de irmos para o portão de largada foi uma reação do tipo, “aaahhh mas já tem que ir?” 😅 Tinha gente querendo ficar dentro da 🎪 pq era quentinho né @runna26

Wie viele Höhenmeter hat Eure Hausrunde? 🤔 (Anzeige) Normalerweise hat meine 10 Kilometer-Hausrunde etwa 50 Höhenmeter. Heute habe ich mich aber für eine neue Strecke entschieden, die mir sogleich etwa 270 Höhenmeter beschert hat. Genau richtig, wenn man kleine Fahrtspiele absolvieren oder nur nach Gefühl laufen möchte. 👍

I started this run feeling not-so-grateful. I was overdressed and feeling rushed and suffice it to say that the drivers passing me were not in a cheerful holiday spirit. So I started a little gratitude list in my head. 1️⃣ this crazy neon yellow hat a sweet man at church gave me because he wanted to make sure people saw me in the dark 2️⃣ this headlamp my husband bought for me over the summer so I could safely do my morning workout runs while marathon training 3️⃣ this @noxgear
_nation vest I just bought for myself so that errybody can see me flashing like a Christmas tree as I get in my miles at 5:30PM (PM, people!) in the D-A-R-K. About 96% sure this stuff saved me from being hit by a car multiple times tonight. Don’t sweat it!▪️
This morning I slept in by almost two hours and missed the gym. When I finally woke up, it felt like a bus had hit me.▪️
Years ago, I would panic if I didn’t make my morning workout. My thoughts were that that I’ve started my day behind and that I wasn’t going to be able to burn all those calories I needed to burn to lose weight. I was in a super unhealthy mental and physical spot when it came to weight loss.▪️
If I wasn’t working harder and burning more calories than someone else what was the point? That was my mentality every single day. I was doing that thing where I was comparing my chapter 1 to someone’s chapter 15, so if I wasn’t working out - I was being left behind.▪️
I thought those quotes “you can sleep when you’re dead” and also “no rest for the wicked” were true. Rest days? Those were few and far between. But then came on the mental and physical exhaust.▪️
This mentality spiraled into running after I got really going in it too. Run more, run every day hard, run further, run faster. Then came on that mental and physical exhaustion again.▪️
I plateaued for 2 years in my weight loss journey. I also plateaued for a while in running and started to go backwards. Reason being both times was that I was over working myself and not working smart.▪️
It took a while but I finally got to a spot where it doesn’t matter anymore when it comes to a missed workout. It’s imperative to listen to your body. It’s smarter to rest. One missed workout won’t hurt you. I obviously needed the extra rest this morning and I welcomed it. ▪️
Rest and rest days can have some great effects on you like: -Repair and regrowth of muscle
-Extra time with your friends & family▪️
Remember every single day doesn’t have to be perfect. Days of tiny progress will also turn into huge strides over a year.

✊🏼😎 He’s been grinding out for a very long time and it’s all about to pay off. Tomorrow he takes his boards test for Veterinary School and on December 8th he’ll be racing the California International Marathon to get a Olympic Trials Qualifying time. I’ve really enjoyed getting to train with this guy and I’m excited to see where his hard work takes him. Go do your thang and get the job done💪🏼💪🏼 .
FYI doing 100+ miles a week on top of school isn’t a joke

Seid Ihr schon mal mit Brustlampe gelaufen? 💡😁 (Anzeige) Ich bin heute Abend - meine Stirnlampe habe ich einfach zu Hause gelassen - zum ersten Mal überhaupt damit unterwegs gewesen. Hat ziemlich gut geklappt. 👍 Der Brustgurt ist angenehm zu tragen und der Boden wird gut ausgeleuchtet. Das rote Rückenlicht ist ebenfalls praktisch und mittels USB-Kabel wird das Lauflicht aufgeladen. Ich laufe mal weiter! 🏃🌃
