So yesterday I had my first check up since my vacay.😍 After my vacay I get back on track with my food and workoutroutine. I also changed my job (yeah I didn't tell you this allready, because I first wanted to know if it was right for me. And luckely it is! I am very happy with the change) 🙌🏽😁 Since a while I am more tired and more hungry. I work more hours but still train for 6days a week 2-3 hours every day. And also running the household, taking care of my animals and social life. And in "the sparetime" also renovate our upstairs. I am always very busy. Never stop. So I thought it was normal to feel this way, because I am this active 🔥
So when I told my coach about it and got my measurement results she told me to slow it down.
When your body doesn't get enough rest it produces Cortisol (stresshormone). In a short time it can be useful, but when you have to much Cortisol for a long time it is harmful for your body and mind. My fat% and KG were a bit higher than last time. The storage of fat is one of the (many) side effects of cortisol.
For now I have to take rest more often and only train 5 days a week for a maximum of 2 hours (wich was still more than enough according to my coach)
I need to meditate more wich I love, but didn't gave myself time for that. (To meditate isn't complicated by the way, you just sit- / laydown and focus on the breathing #chill
☯️) Also take more powernaps and relax with a book or a mandala picture to color 🎨
With this balance my Cortisol levels will drop and soon I will feel better. With more energy, not feeling so tired and hungry anymore. My sleepscore will improve, because I sleep like crap at the moment (Sleeping in is terrible and waking up is impossible) And of course my body will be able to release the fat and water it stores right now. Wich means weightloss again 🥰🙌🏽 To take this type of rest will be something new for me. But my coach told me that when you want to achieve more, you have to do less at times. 💣
I trust her. She is the best! 💯💜 So rest it is for me and in another 6-8 weeks I will be back for another checkup. Leaner and relaxed, ready to kick ass for next summer-bodygoals 👊🏽😁
