I found this place on accident, then stood out side wondering if I should go in. Some people walking by said, "Oh it's famous, you should try it," and I'm SO glad that I listened to them! 😍
🥘 Shanghai Xiao Long Bao:
You can't go wrong with soup dumplings, you really can't! Very tasty filling, but I kept spilling the soup. Perhaps the skin was a bit thinner than other ones I've tried, or perhaps it was my fault.
🥟 Pork dumplings in broth (I forget the offical english name of this one):
An unexpected favorite. The sauce was not what I thought it would taste lik, so I kept coming back for more. These dumplings had extra skin around their tops making them similar to the wontons one eats in soup. Very fun texture, paired with spicy, garlic-y flaors! This dish was so good, you even get a rare picture of me mixing the sauce with the dumplings 😲
🥗 Steamed Spinach with garlic:
Let me tell you, this was perhaps the best Spinach I've had in my life! The flavors were popping and the garlic was amazing!!! I would come back simply for this this dish!
🆓️FREEBIES: Free green tea, plus refills. You can make your own sauce for your dumplings as well. Yay for options! 😁
🕛TIMING: Lunch on a Friday wasn't too busy, but most of the tables were full. They had tables for 6 which they sat 2 pairs of 2, which is pretty normal in Taiwan.
