permanently in my a skin, a reminder of how far i’ve come...to find the peace in nature.
bumble bees, the sweet innocent looking creatures who works hard but gives back to the world in which it lives in. in danger, not afraid to put up fight and defend itself or its fellow bees, even if they lose their life in the process. Most worker bees are female, a resemblance of what an empowered woman can do. (my nickname growing up was “izzy bee”)
Lavender, a reminder that taking notice to littlle things can help you ground yourself. like the calming sensation and release of serotonin as well as dopamine when smelling the beautiful flower. bright and a sign of hope. rolling lavender oil on wrists so i can smell it while wiping the tears away when an elephant decides to sit on my chest, when my mind is racing and my body is shaking. being aware of one of your senses can help you stay calm and relaxed. (in need of a new tattoo soon.)
