If you train shoulders and chest at all, then you need to be training your rotator cuffs. External rotation should be a part of your training. • Weakness in external rotation will hinder your strength in over head pressing, bench press, or any upper body compound exercise for that matter. • Stability in your shoulders is very important, or else you are more likely to get injured. • In this video you see me do 2 external rotation exercises - horizontal (first exercise) and vertical (second exercise). You should do these every other day. Do 3 sets of 10 on each arm and on each exercise. • You should always do the horizontal version on a cable. The vertical version can be done with a dumbbell or a cable.
